Getting started

Back to the guide

Signing in

  1. Open the clinic’s address in a web browser. Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari all work, on a computer, tablet or phone.
  2. Type your email and your password.
  3. Press Sign in.

You land on the screen for your job:

You are You land on
Receptionist Booking desk
Doctor My day
Pharmacist Till
Nurse Vitals
Admin (owner or manager) Dashboard

If you type the wrong password several times, your sign-in is locked for a while to keep others out. Wait, or ask the admin to set a new password for you.

If you forget your password, ask the admin. They set a new one in Clinic settings, under the people who can sign in.

For technical users. Staff sign in at /login and patients at /portal. A sign-in lasts 12 hours. On a demonstration copy, the sign-in page also shows “Demo: enter as” cards that sign in a sample person without a password; see Technical notes.

Finding your way around

The dark panel on the left is the menu. It lists only the screens your role may use. On a phone, the menu is behind the button at the top.

Group Screens Who sees it
My work My day, My patients, Follow-ups, My schedule, My income Doctor
Front desk Booking desk, Patients, Vitals, Follow-ups, Doctors and schedules, Clinic hours Receptionist and admin. A nurse sees Vitals only
Pharmacy Till, Products and stock, Suppliers and purchasing Pharmacist and admin
Accounts Dashboard, Payments and expenses, Reports Admin (the pharmacist sees Reports for the pharmacy)
Settings Clinic settings, Clinical lists Admin (the pharmacist sees Clinical lists)

At the foot of the menu are your name, a button to change your password, and a button to sign out.

The guided tour

The first time you open a screen, a short tour starts by itself. Each step points at one part of the screen and says what it is for.

  • Press Next to move on, or Skip to close the tour.
  • Press Show me around at the top right of any screen to run the tour again whenever you like.

The tour is the fastest way to learn a screen. This guide goes further and walks through whole jobs from start to finish.

Changing your password

  1. Press the key button beside your name at the foot of the menu.
  2. Type your current password.
  3. Type the new password twice. Use at least 10 characters.
  4. Save.

Signing out

Press the sign-out button beside your name. Always sign out on a computer that other people use.

Printing

Receipts, token slips, the day list, prescriptions and letters all open in a box on the screen with a Print button. Only the paper itself is printed, not the screen around it.

  • Receipts print at the width of the clinic’s receipt paper. The admin chooses the paper in Clinic settings.
  • Prescriptions, test requests and letters print on a full sheet with the clinic’s name and logo at the top.

If the internet stops

  • At the pharmacy till, keep the page open and carry on selling. Each sale is kept on that computer and sent when the connection returns.
  • At the front desk, print the Day list for each doctor at the start of the day. It is the paper copy to work from in a power cut.
  • A doctor’s unsent note is kept on that computer until it can be saved.

Other screens need the connection and will say so if it is lost.
